Beardow Adams (Hall 4, stand 4-F10), the UK’s premier producer of hot melt adhesives, is exhibiting at ICE?Europe for the first time.
 
It is launching three new hot melt pressure sensitive adhesives (HMPSAs) under its PRESSEN brand to compliment its existing products for coating on to flexible substrates in the manufacture of self-adhesive materials – including tapes, labels, graphic arts and security bag applications – and heat-reactivatable coatings.
 
The latest products are PRESSEN 1968, a self-adhesive tape formulation with high adhesion to difficult surfaces; PRESSEN 2007, a self-adhesive label formulation giving low staining at high temperatures; and PRESSEN 2024, a self-adhesive label formulation giving easy-peel label stock.
 
“These are exciting times in HMPSA development,” says Graeme Nutting, Beardow Adams’ Sales Director for North West Europe.  “New high quality raw materials are coming on stream that enable us to develop adhesives which create advantage for our end users and their customers by adding value to their processes, run cleanly and trouble free, bond reliability and offer real total cost savings.
 
“Sales of our hot melt adhesives for converting applications have grown substantially in the UK in the last two years,” he added.  “We have proven products that are in regular use – and with mainland Europe being an important converting market, ICE?Europe is ideal for our drive to share our experience and increase sales.
 
“Innovation is at the heart of what we do,” Mr Nutting continued.  “These new products join our range of other high performance HMPSAs, which include self-adhesive tapes with high heat resistance (up to 90°C), high speed machine applied self-adhesive labels, alkali dispersible self-adhesive labels and peel and reseal tapes for fresh and frozen food bags.”
