Beardow Adams, the UK’s largest hot melt adhesive manufacturer, will have new packaging and labelling hot melts at PPMA 2009 – see them on stand G63.
For packaging, its latest BAMFutura variant – BAMFutura 12 – is a fast setting hot melt for high speed lines, particularly carton boxes, typically running in excess of 200 cartons/minute.
Like other products in the BAMFutura range, the new hot melt offers versatile performance, high thermal stability and clean running, which, the company says, will lead to lower inventory costs, lower maintenance costs and lower downtime costs.
In common with all BAMFutura hot melts, BAMFutura 12 eliminates the odours and fumes in the production process associated with traditional hot melts through the use of high quality raw materials – as a result, they do not taint foodstuffs.
In addition to its ongoing BAMFutura developments, Beardow Adams has strengthened its labelling range with another quality, clean running hot melt – BAM 1726.
BAM 1726 has been formulated as a high tack grade for labelling carbonated drinks on to PET bottles, where its cohesive strength copes with the expansion of bottles that are shaken or become warm. It can be used on a wide variety of label stocks and containers.
Beardow Adams, which has won four Queen’s Awards, is among the top five hot melt companies in Europe. From its Milton Keynes headquarters, it supplies packaging and labelling hot melts to the UK and nearly 40 individual overseas countries. |
