Beardow Adams has strengthened its sales and marketing with two new appointments from 1 January 2010: Guy Davis – who has responsibility for international corporate accounts – and Ian McCaddon, the company’s Area Manager serving accounts in Wales, the West Midlands and the North West of England. Both are newly created positions.

Beardow Adams wins two Chamber of Commerce Awards
2 October 2009

The Milton Keynes and North Bucks Chamber of Commerce has presented Beardow Adams with the award for International Trade - Consistent Performance and the award for Business of the Year (above £5 million turnover).

For the international trade award, the judges commented on "An impressive track record of growth from a local company using a differentiated niche positioning to exploit and expand in a hotly contested international market, leveraging their specialist knowledge and the strength of their global network."

For the business of the year award, they said, "This company strongly demonstrates the importance of not only growing its people, but also the importance of its distributors involving them in the business providing training and support to both. It continuously seeks new opportunities to expand the business but its determination to focus on its specialist field of hot melt adhesives, developing new technology to deliver this, make this a top class company."

Winners were announced at the annual Chamber Dinner and Business Excellence Awards ceremony, which was held at the StadiumMK, Milton Keynes on Thursday 1st October.  The awards were presented by Jo Salter - Britain's first female fighter pilot and guest speaker on the night - to Stuart Wetherell,  Beardow Adams' strategic marketing director.

On winning the awards, Stuart said: “In a tough 12 months trading - pitching against international players - our focus to differentiate our business and our strategy to develop a global network of international partners has enabled us to grow export turnover by over 10%.  The International Trade - consistent performance award is a tribute to our own staff and all our partners.  Winning the Business of the Year award was an additional highlight to the evening - but is the culmination of 12 months of contributions by everyone in the company.  It demonstrates that the effort, focus and investment in our business and in the people who make that business possible has been recognised by the judges as being top class."

Gaining these award is confirmation of the company's commitment to grow the business globally which not only benefits employees of the company, but also all of its customers by ensuring continuity of supply and ongoing research and development.
