Environment
Beardow Adams is actively working to develop its systems to meet the requirements of BS EN ISO 14000 – Environmental Management System. For example, investment in 2006 has reduced the packaging material demand. Installation of bulk tanks has reduced packaging of some purchased raw materials and saved thermal energy. A new pack format introduced in 2007 has reduced consumption of packaging by around 60% for a major range of finished products, and has also reduced packaging waste for the consumer.
By limiting its production to hot melt adhesives manufactured from non-hazardous materials - both in manufacture and in use - these are some of the most environmentally neutral adhesives available.
We are pleased to have been awarded the Sony Green Partner Certificate.
Environment Policy
Beardow Adams' policy is to operate its business with integrity and recognize that the protection of the environment is a key responsibility. The company is committed to the following principles:
- Comply with all legislation regarding environmental issues
- Create a sound working environment for our employees, in particular relating to issues of Health and Safety
- Minimise the environmental impact of our activities
- Develop new products which do not harm the environment
